While cyclone Tomas is now affecting the Northern and Eastern parts of Fiji we in the West are currently experiencing fine/partly cloudy and stable weather conditions. We have prepared both the resort and our guests and (apart from preparations such as storm shutters) Treasure Island is operating as normal (the above photo is from 5:45pm last night as the crew secure the shutters around the restaurant, apart from a few less chairs the outlook is similar as we write now just after 1pm). Cautionary measures from the applicable regulatory bodies have currently stopped sea and air access except by helicopter.
We're all in good spirits. Please note that current curfew conditions mean our reservations office remains closed at the moment, and that any power shutdowns across Fiji may affect our internet. Any concerns, reservations or enquiries during this time can be directed to Graeme Back if you wish, phone 00679 9999375 or email [email protected]
A Cyclonic Day on TI would be better than any day at work!
